Located in Sangkulirang, East Kalimantan, this project began in October 2010 and was completed by March 2012. The facility was designed to utilise industry best practices while establishing a cost effective operation. The project’s planning took into account the nearby coral reefs and mangrove swamps, with a strong focus on protecting the surrounding ecosystem.
Project Highlight
The proximity of the factory to coral reefs and mangrove swamps presented a challenge due to the environmental sensitivity of the area. Waste from the facility had the potential to severely impact these delicate ecosystems. The team employed tactical strategies to minimise environmental damage, conducting extensive studies with expert engineers to safeguard the mangroves and coral reefs. This approach allowed for the successful completion of the project while preserving the natural environment and meeting the client’s expectations.
